Jeroen de Zeeuw is a seasoned land access, resettlement and social performance practitioner with more than 20 years of experience working in challenging environments across Sub‑Saharan and North Africa, Central and Southeast Asia, and the Caucasus. He has advised and supported complex projects across renewable energy, mining, agribusiness, and large‑scale infrastructure sectors. His work spans collaborations with private companies, development finance institutions, research institutes, and civil society organizations.
Jeroen brings deep technical expertise in social impact assessment and management, participatory resettlement planning, company–community engagement platforms, design and implementation of UNGP‑compliant grievance and remediation mechanisms, and human rights due diligence.
Jeroen is recognized for his ability to foster constructive relationships among diverse stakeholders and to lead interdisciplinary, multicultural project teams with clarity and purpose. His practice is pragmatic and values‑driven, with a strong focus on listening and delivering durable solutions that create shared value for both companies and affected communities.
Jeroen has an MSc in Development Sociology (Wageningen University), a PhD in Politics and International Studies (Warwick University) and is fluent in English, French and Dutch.
