Daniel Cárdenas is a sociologist and political scientist with master’s degrees in Social Intervention and Conflict Management in Corporate Environments. With 15 years of experience, he has led social performance strategies for governments, the United Nations, and the private sector. He has worked on complex resettlement processes in Chile, Ecuador, Argentina, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Sierra Leone, applying the highest international standards in the design, implementation, and evaluation of resettlement plans, as well as in the management of social risks and the strengthening of social license. His career includes conducting participation and consultation processes with indigenous populations and vulnerable communities, ensuring compliance with International Social Performance Standards and Best Practices. He has also developed strategies to build consensus and mitigate social impacts in mining, energy, and infrastructure.
